We did the mini trekking today with Hielo Aventura and to be honest I was so nervous. He was patient, funny and really looked after me and our We booked the mini trekking on the glacier. The only company that does this is Helios and Adventura. You get picked up at your hotel and brought to the park where you pay the entrance for the national park. You then go on a boat Superb trip. We started with very bad wetherconditions and still it was amazing.
Guides are very professional and helpfull. Pay a lot of attention to safety. On our way back on the glacier the sun broke through do our guides Louis and Fernando decided to It's huge! It's amazing! Don't miss the trekking. What you're gonna see is unique and you can't see from the cruise. The mini trekking is pretty easy and I belive everyone in a healthy condition with no mobility problems can do it.
The glacier is an absolute must do when in El Calafate. We hired a taxi who dropped us there and waited 3 hours for us while we explored. Take the boat ride to see this glacier close up and lots of small icebergs along the way.
Be prepared it's cold!! You can also see the glacier from the other side and walk down to get a different view. It is truly exciting to Simply fantastic in its grandiosity. Nothing can come close to this majestic glassier.
Once in a lifetime experience! We travelled half way acrosd the world and booked the trip and recieved conformation for - we woke up at to prepare and at were waiting for the tour to pock us up. At We contacted the emergency number and found We were making our way to el Chalten from Ushuaia. The nearest airport is el calafate. I decided to make it a 2 night stopover so we could see the glacier.
